Important Pre-Arrival information

An instruction guide to our 5-step process for preparing and managing your self-check-in.

Please check…

  • that we have the email address and phone number that you can access while on holiday
  • that you have provided your vehicle registration/s! You will not be able to access the park without this as we have an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition barrier system.)
  • you have added ALL guests to your booking prior to your visit.

We will send you a check-in email at 7 pm on the evening before your arrival. This will include:

  • Your pitch number (Tents will not require a number as you will choose your own pitch)
  • The vehicle registration we have on record for you (please check that this is correct)
  • A link to a map of the park
  • Contact details including for out of hours emergencies.

Arrive at the park after 1pm for the touring park or 4pm for accommodation and follow signs to the reception

LATE ARRIVALS: If you plan to arrive after reception hours, please contact the reception team on the morning of your arrival and we will make sure you have all the information you require. Please note that camping customers (tents) will not need a pitch number but will still be required to contact us if they are planning to arrive after hours.

Enter the park and find your pitch. Report to reception for accommmodation keys.

Please remember…

  • The barrier will recognise the car registration you have provided and will lift automatically.
  • 5 mph at all times.
  • Please do not drive to or from your pitch between 11pm-8am.
  • The 2m Height barrier restricts high sided vehicles access between 10pm-8am

Please remember…

  • Make sure you are on the right pitch.
  • Keep caravan, awning and car on the gravel area (if on an all weather or fully serviced pitch).
  • Park additional vehicles in the carpark

If you have chosen a ‘non awning’ pitch but would like to put up an awning or porch then you may need to park your car in the main car park unless you can fit within the gravel area.

To find your Touring pitch (Caravans and motorhomes).

  1. Check your email confirmation or the welcome leaflet given to you by the reception team for your pitch number.
  2. Follow the signs on the park.
  3. Look for the square number stickers located on the pitch bollard (or wooden peg if grass touring pitch).
  4. Please position your caravan/motorhome car and awning entirely within the gravel area of the pitch. For grass touring pitches, the wooden peg is the centre of your pitch.

Fully serviced and all-weather pitches.

Your pitch will contain:

  • A water tap.
  • 16amp electric point.
  • TV connection (digital).
  • Light.
  • Waste point (Fully serviced only).
  • WiFi.

To find your tent pitch….

  1. Simply follow the signs to the tent field.
  2. Once you have reached the tent field, you will need to find the right area.
  3. Check your confirmation for the category of pitch you have booked and find the corresponding sign (click image below to enlarge).
  4. Please ONLY pitch on the category you have booked (you can check this on your confirmation). Ignore the number! This is for our reference only)
  5. When setting up, make sure you are positioned between the white plastic markers on the small wooden fences. This is your pitch – 15m x 15 m.

Please make sure you are neatly within your pitch so that we can maintain a fire break between pitches. We will have to ask you to move if pitched incorrectly.

  • The following information will help you plan a safe and memorable stay at Swiss Farm

Many new measures have been put in place for your safety and comfort. We welcome any feedback on our policies and hope you enjoy your time with us.

Accommodation Check-in – After 4pm *please let us know if you are going to arrive after 5pm so that we can make the necessary arrangements We are unable to accept arrivals after 8pm

Accommodation Check out – By 10am Please be prompt when checking out to allow us time to thouroughly clean the accommodation.

Touring park Check-in – After 1pm *please let us know if you are going to arrive after 5pm so that we can make the necessary arrangements We are unable to accept arrivals after 8pm

Touring park Check out – By 12pm
Please be prompt when checking out to allow us time to check and clean our facilities.

Guidelines and Rules:

Day Visitors

We will refuse any day visitor request where we feel it will impact the enjoyment of other park guests or the smooth running of the business.

There will be a charge for day visitors;

  • Day visitors must be booked in by the person named on the main camping/accommodation booking before entering the park.
  • The lead guest is responsible for their day visitors whilst on the park
  • Day visitors are permitted onto the park between 10 am – 6 pm
  • Any guests visiting the park in conjunction with a booking must be aware of the terms and conditions of that booking.
  • Vehicles must be parked in the visitors car park
  • Visitors must remove their vehicles if they leave the park.
  • Day visitor’s vehicles must not be taken past the barrier without the express permission of management.
  • Unauthorised visitors will be asked to leave the park; this could jeopardise your booking or future bookings and may not be covered by our public liability insurance in the case of an accident.
  • Day visitors are not permitted to use the swimming pool

Dogs (IMPORTANT)

We are aware that many people gained extra, furry friend over the last couple of years. Many of these pups will have had limited exposure to the world and camping will be a new experience for them. For the new and experienced dog owner alike, please read the following information carefully:

Well behaved dogs are welcome in the cafe garden as well as the conservatory. We have a lovely off or on lead dog exercise area on the park.

  • Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times whilst on the park. This includes when on your pitch.
  • Please pick up after your dog. Dog waste bins are provided and are located at convenient points around the park.
  • Please ensure that your dog is not a nuisance to other guests or Staff. (Barking, off lead, aggressive behaviour)
  • Do not leave your dog unaccompanied
  • We are surrounded by wildlife and livestock. When you are out and about, please stick to footpaths and keep your dog on a lead.
  • Dogs are not permitted in the pool area, playgrounds or ball games field for the health and hygiene of other guests.

Henley is a popular place for celebrations so please expect there to be fireworks from time to time. We are aware that this can be distressing to many animals but this is beyond our control.

Shop Opening 9am-5.30pm

Our shop will continue to offer the essentials including Local milk, free-range eggs, bits that you might have forgotten and a selection of local beers and other goodies.

Warden service

A park warden will be available out of hours for any emergencies you may have such as power a powercut or noisy neighbour. You can reach the warden between 5.30pm-8am on 07552 639389
