Some Common FAQ’s.

Listed below are a series of questions that we are frequently asked.

We have tried to make it easy by categorising each question but if there’s something we haven’t listed that you have a question or concern about, please feel free to get in touch with us.

Can I live in my caravan?2019-01-31T20:40:01+00:00

It is not possible to live in caravans due to site licence restrictions.

We will require proof of permanent address for longer bookings.

Can I receive a supermarket food delivery?2023-08-08T16:38:07+01:00

You are welcome to receive a food delivery. We just ask that you inform reception in advance and meet with the delivery driver by reception. Delivery vehicles must not enter the park.

Can we charge our phones and other devices?2019-01-31T17:01:03+00:00

We will be happy to charge these for you free of charge in the cafe.

Only available during cafe opening hours.

Do I need to book in advance?2019-06-12T12:51:25+01:00

We strongly recommend booking well in advance, especially during May through to September, plus for special events as we fill up very quickly.

Do you allow barbecues?2019-01-31T22:44:16+00:00

Yes we welcome BBQ’s, as long as they are used carefully and kept off the ground to avoid damaging the grass.

During dry weather conditions, we may restrict the use of BBQ’s for safety reasons. Please note we do not allow open fires or firepits.

We have a small shop selling some essentials (milk, bread etc) and basic camping equipment.

We do not sell caravans or site customer’s static caravans.

We do however have our own fleet of caravans for hire.

Unfortunately we do not have the facility to store caravans.

Electric hook-ups for tents. What will I need?2019-01-31T20:40:34+00:00

To keep you safe and legal you will need to bring with you a ‘mobile mains power unit’ which retail at around £50 – £80.

Please do not make up your own lead or use leads without adequate protection!

How far are you from Henley town centre?2019-01-31T20:00:05+00:00

We are only 10 minutes from the town centre on foot.

What are your check-in and check-out times?2020-07-04T15:55:35+01:00

Touring Park:

Check-in time is after 1 pm and Check-out is before 12:00 noon.

Holiday Caravans and Cabins:

Check-in time is after 16:00 (4pm) and Check-out is 10:00.

Please allow half an hour in case the previous customer is running late.

We recommend parking at Twyford train station (approx. 10 minute drive) and getting a direct train to Paddington (approx. 40 minutes).

Alternatively you can walk to Henley station (approx. 20 minute walk). Trains go every 30 minutes.

What is the latest I can check-in?2019-01-31T20:40:55+00:00

21:00 (9.00pm) is the latest check in time.

This is to avoid disturbing other guests.

When can we bring our dog(s) to Swiss Farm?2019-01-31T20:17:50+00:00

We now welcome up to 2 well-behaved dogs throughout the season.

We ask that you keep dogs on a lead at all times and pick up after them.

Where and how far are the nearest supermarkets?2019-01-31T19:59:16+00:00

Waitrose:
10 minutes walk in town centre.

Sainsbury local:
10 minutes walk.

Tesco:
5 minutes by car.

Where can we freeze our ice blocks?2019-01-31T17:02:35+00:00

Ice blocks can be placed in our freezer located in the dishwashing room in our main facility block.

This service is free of charge.

Why can I not take my caravan into the fields?2019-01-31T20:34:52+00:00

Sorry our license does not allow touring caravans, motor homes and campervans other than on the main site.

Why do you not allow commercial vans on the park?2019-01-31T20:33:50+00:00

Customers tell us that they do not like to be placed next to work vans and the various park inspection organisations penalise us for allowing them on to the park.

Why do you require a two night stay over weekends?2019-06-12T12:51:37+01:00

Weekends are our busiest time and we are often full, especially from May – September.

The majority of our customers like to stay for 2 nights and they would not be able to do so if we filled pitches with one night bookings.

You say ‘no groups’. What does this mean?2019-06-12T12:51:48+01:00

We allow a maximum of 2 families or pitches under one booking.

Forming a group without the consent of park management may result in early termination of your booking.
