Whatever the weather, there are plenty of opportunities for children to get out of the house this October half-term and enjoy Greys Court.
Our half term trail will run from Saturday 26 October – Sunday 3 November, where you can pick up a trail for £2 and find clues to win a prize.
Estate walk
During October the Greys Court estate is ablaze with colour from the leaves changing colour. It’s the perfect time to take the children for a refreshing walk out on the estate, and crunch through the fallen leaves.
Bring wellies and rain coats if it’s a bit drizzly, or a picnic and rug if it’s a sunny, autumnal day. There are various places along the estate walk for children to play; from tree trunks that now look like thrones to cut up logs that are fun stepping stones.
Loads of leaves: half-term trail
Pick up a trail leaflet from Visitor Reception for £2 and get exploring the estate in search of clues celebrating the autumn colour. When you’ve finished, head to the shop where you can collect your prize.
Den-building
Create a shelter for yourself this October half-term in the den-building area down near the play area. You’ll find plenty of sticks, logs and twigs to create your ideal hideout.
Facilities
The Cowshed tea-room on site serves hot/cold drinks, cakes and light lunches. We also offer some children options within the lunch menu, dependent on what is available that day. The Cowshed tea-room can be found by continuing down the path past the shop.
The toilets have baby-changing facilities and can be found opposite the shop.
