Swiss Farm Turns 80 in 2026!
2026 will be a very special year for us here at Swiss Farm Touring & Camping – it marks our 80th birthday. From humble beginnings to becoming a five-star, family-owned holiday park, we’re proud to have welcomed generations of guests to our beautiful spot here in Henley-on-Thames.
A Family Story
Swiss Farm first opened its gates in 1946, just after the war, when holidaying closer to home became part of British family life. What started as a simple place for tents and caravans has grown and evolved over eight decades – always run by the same family, always with the same values of warmth, quality, and care.
Today, Swiss Farm is known not only for its award-winning touring and camping facilities, but also for the wildlife, trees, and peaceful countryside setting that make it so special. Many of you have shared stories of coming here as children, and now bringing your own families and even grandchildren back to enjoy the park.
What 80 Years Means to Us
For us, this milestone is about more than just the number. It’s about:
- Generations of holidays spent under canvas, in caravans, and in motorhomes
- Protecting our landscape and wildlife so the park remains a green, peaceful haven
- Welcoming guests as part of the family – many of you return year after year
- Striving for excellence – achieving and maintaining our five-star rating
Looking Ahead
While 2026 is about celebrating our past, it’s also about looking forward. Over the coming season, we’ll be rolling out improvements, including our new electricity metering system to keep things fair and sustainable, as well as continuing to invest in our facilities so that future generations can enjoy Swiss Farm just as much as those before them.
Join the Celebration
We’ll be marking our 80th birthday throughout 2026 with special touches, stories from our history, and ways for you to get involved. Whether you’re a long-time regular or planning your first visit, we’d love for you to be part of this milestone year.
Here’s to 80 years of memories – and many more to come
