FAQs (Camping)

If you’re arriving between 5:30pm and 9:00pm, just let us know in advance and we’ll provide instructions for self-check-in. Unfortunately, we can’t accept arrivals after 9:00pm—but if you’re delayed and can’t avoid a late arrival, we do have a designated later arrivals area where you can park overnight and check in properly the following morning.

Yes, (tent area only) fire pits are allowed, but only if they are raised off the ground and used safely. They must be kept well away from vehicles and any flammable materials, and should never be left unattended. Please ensure fires are fully extinguished after use. Open fires directly on the ground are not permitted, and we ask all guests to be mindful of smoke and their neighbours. If in doubt, check with our team before lighting up.

No, our facility blocks remain open during cleaning. Our team works carefully to keep everything clean and tidy while ensuring guests can continue to use the facilities without disruption.

Henley-on-Thames is just a 10–15 minute walk from the park, with a scenic and level route that’s easy to follow. Perfect for a stroll into town for shops, cafés, or a riverside wander.

Yes, all water from the pitch bollards and standpipes is safe to drink. However, please avoid drinking from the taps in the facility rooms, as this water is not potable.

Our on-site wardens are available 24/7 to help with any issues, including noise. Just call the warden’s number listed in your welcome pack, and a member of the team will respond quickly and discreetly, so no need to worry about any awkwardness or repercussions.

Ice blocks can be placed in our freezer located in the tent field. This service is free of charge.

Yes, pup tents are allowed, but with a few conditions:

  • They are for young children only.

  • On touring pitches, the pup tent must be kept on the gravel area.

  • In the tent field, it must stay within your pitch boundary.

  • Pup tents are not permitted with glamping stays or holiday caravan hire.

  • The tent must be no larger than a small 2-person tent. (Max 2m x 2m)

We’re a peaceful, family-run park, so we don’t allow large groups. To help maintain a relaxed atmosphere for everyone, we have strict limits on how many people can book together or form a group on site. This also applies to multiple families booking as one party. Ask a member of the team for details.

Yes, BBQs are welcome on site. We just ask that you use them responsibly and ensure they don’t cause smoke or disturbance to other guests. Please keep them raised off the ground and never leave them unattended.

No, but small, well-managed firepits are permitted, as long as:

  • They are raised well off the ground

  • They have a secure lid and a way to extinguish them

  • They are always supervised when lit and fully extinguished when not in use

  • They do not pose a danger or cause a nuisance to other guests

This way, you can enjoy the warmth of a fire while keeping everyone safe and comfortable.

No, we don’t allocate pitches in the camping field. Guests are free to choose their own spot on arrival, giving you the flexibility to find the place that best suits you.

For safety and compliance, you’ll need to bring a mobile mains power unit, which typically costs around £50–£80.

Please don’t use homemade leads or any equipment without proper protection, as this can be unsafe. The right power unit will ensure you can connect easily and enjoy electricity in your tent with complete peace of mind.
